Kia ora,
I'm Nick Leggett, a professional communicator from Wellington, New Zealand.
A former two term Mayor of my home city of Porirua (2010-2016), I've previously spent almost twenty years in elected positions in Local Government - yes I started young! A seasoned and expert communicator, I continue to be fascinated by the way different organisations, people and communities make decisions.
My professional background includes significant time working in the private sector, so I effortlessly merge the commercial needs of business with specific and sound communications and strategy advice.
I've previously served on the Capital & Coast District Health Board and the Board of Capacity Infrastructure Ltd. Currently I am the Chief Executive of the Road Transport Forum, Chairperson of the Hutt Mana Charitable Trust and a Director of Greater Wellington Regional Holdings Ltd and MITO.
Before being elected Mayor of Porirua in 2010, I worked as a commercial property broker for Colliers International.
